This week Apple is releasing the long-awaited iOS 10 mobile operating system and the new line of flagship phones, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
With all the new functionalities this update has to offer, there are some new features to discuss that relate directly to the Apple Wallet and mobile wallet loyalty.
1- Mobile Wallet is a KEY Native App
With iOS 10, users now have the ability to remove the native apps such as iBooks, Podcasts, Tips and Weather, that have been cluttering up your home screen.
Except, users will NOT be able to remove the Wallet app.

2 – Lock Screen Notifications, Pass Preview & Raise To Wake
Apple has completely re-designed their lock screen notifications to provide rich notifications, allowing you view and respond directly to messages in your lock screen notifications.
Not only has iOS 10 allowed for more “Pass Real Estate”, but the image displayed is now a thumbnail preview of the pass – so users can see how close they are to reaching their loyalty goals.

3 – Apple Wallet
Apple has also re-designed the appearance of the passes within the Apple Wallet.
You can now preview the pass and description at the top of the pass.
The ‘Delete’ function has been changed to ‘Remove’ and has been moved to an independent function bar below ‘Share Pass’
