
Nielsen recently came out with smartphone data reflecting overall US smartphone penetration. The number is 43 percent, unchanged from October but up several points from several months ago.
According to Nielsen, 43 percent of US smartphone owners have an Android handsets compared to 28 percent who own iPhones.
What’s interesting is that the age-based segmentation; for those 44 years old and under, smartphone penetration has now reached the 54 percent mark. In fact for those in the 25-34 age category it stands at a whopping 62 percent!
